Central Core – Downtown Toronto

Living in Downtown Toronto

Downtown Toronto is the central business and financial district of Toronto. The area is roughly bounded by Bloor Street to the northeast and Dupont Street to the northwest, Lake Ontario to the south, the Don Valley Parkway to the east, and Bathurst Street to the west.

The area is made up of Canada’s largest concentration of skyscrapers and businesses that form Toronto’s skyline.

Encompassing a wide variety of smaller communities including Yorkville, St Lawrence Market, the Annex, the Entertainment District and the Harbourfront among others, the downtown core is often the first choice of single professionals and young couples looking for a fast-paced urban lifestyle. While condo living is the norm downtown, Victorian homes, many dating back to the late 1800’s, can still be found dotted throughout areas like the Annex.
In the downtown core, there is an abundance of choice when determining a condo building. From the 76-storey modern skyscraper of 1 Bloor East to the mid-rise, quiet enclave of only 30 units at 19 Dundonald in the Church /Yonge corridor, there is truly something for everyone.
